Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao on Friday appealed to Telangana BJP president, N Ramchander Rao to address the issue of Bhadradri temple land encroachment.
Questioning whether BJP President Ramachandra Rao has no time for “our Telangana’s Bhadrachalam Ramachandra Prabhu, he said 889.5 acres of the Bhadrachalam temple land has been grabbed in Andhra Pradesh and not a word from the BJP?
He wondered why Bhadrachalam temple land was not sacrosanct enough for the BJP to protect? He wanted BJP to raise its voice on the issue despite its political affiliations in AP. He wanted to know from Ramchander Rao if the party was ignoring it due to its alliance with the state government or planning to hand over Bhadradri entirely.
He accused the BJP of chanting the name of “Ram” for votes while engaging in deceptive tactics for seats. He said people of Telangana are watchful of the BJP moves.
Rao urged Ramchander Rao to either discuss the matter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi or appeal to allies to protect Bhadradri temple lands and protect them from encroachments.
