Hyderabad: Voicing concern over the death of yet another auto driver in the state by committing suicide, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K T Rama Rao on Saturday highlighted the growing distress among auto drivers due to unfulfilled promises by the State government.

He criticized the Congress-led government for failing to deliver on promises of Rs 12,000 annual financial aid. Questioning the Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi’s about his support for auto drivers in the state, he said many were feeling betrayed by the lack of tangible assistance.


“The deaths of auto drivers like Pangan Yadagiri are nothing short of government-driven tragedies”, he said while urging the government to take immediate action to support the families. The BRS party continues to stand in solidarity with auto drivers, he pledged his support to their fight and demanded the government to address their pressing needs.

The people of Telangana are witnessing a year of unfulfilled promises and growing discontent, questioning the true impact of the changes that were supposed to bring prosperity and happiness.
