Hyderabad: Sounding a strong warning to individuals and media outlets spreading what he called “baseless and malicious propaganda” against him in connection with the telephone tapping controversy, BRS working president, KT Rama Rao on Friday vowed to take legal action against those responsible for spreading falsehoods and defamatory content in a bid tarnish the reputation of the BRS leadership.

Condemning the nefarious campaign, he held certain individuals, whom he described as “hiding behind the guise of journalists,” responsible for orchestrating a deliberate smear campaign against him and the BRS.

He accused some media houses and their collaborators of working in tandem to spread lies with malicious intent. “For the past few months, some individuals posing as journalists and media house owners have been spewing venom against me personally and the BRS leadership,” he stated.

While emphasizing that such attacks have no personal impact on him, KTR highlighted the severe emotional toll the repeated character assassination has taken on his family members. “These malicious attacks in the name of media are causing distress to my well-wishers, party leaders, and cadres,” he added

The BRS leader warned that legal action would be taken against every individual involved in spreading such propaganda. “We will respond appropriately through legal means to those working behind the scenes and those engaging in these despicable efforts,” KT Rama Rao asserted.
