KTR’s potshots on fuel price hike inspire many, go viral

Hyderabad: TRS working president KT Rama Rao’s potshots over escalating prices of domestic gas cylinders on Sunday inspired many to share their jibes on social media.
Addressing mediapersons after casting his vote in the Hyderabad-Mahabubnagar-Ranga Reddy Graduates Constituency MLC elections here, Rama Rao had said “As a famous personality once said, I offered my prayers to gas cylinder at home before leaving to cast my vote.”
This caught up the attention of many voters and they shared their jibes along with images of praying to fuel stations and gas cylinders.
A twitter user Putta Vishnuvardhan Reddy tweeted “I voted against rising Gas, diesel and petrol prices,” while sharing an image of praying at a fuel station. In a similar post, Talla Sai Chandra Goud tweeted “My vote is for Happening Hyderabad Triumphant Telangana,”
Another Twitter user Nikhilkaperi tweeted “I offered prayers to the domestic gas cylinder, as its price is heading to touch Rs.1000, before casting my vote,” Like them, many twitter users shared their jibes and taunts, after exercising their franchise in the MLC elections.

Meanwhile, the TRS working president thanked the party cadre for working relentlessly for the party candidates’ victory in the MLC elections. He also complimented all the Ministers, MLAs and senior leaders, who worked as party incharges for the elections and strived hard for the party’s cause.
“There is good response from people for the effort put in by the party. I thank all the voters, who exercised their franchise in the elections and responding positively to improve the poll per cent,” said Rama Rao.
Earlier in the day, Finance Minister T. Harish Rao tweeted “I urge all the graduate voters to step out and execute their right to vote. It is our responsibility towards our motherland. Exercising your vote must become a priority activity for you and you should cast your vote positively.”
