Kurnool bus mishap: Telangana government announces exgratia
The Telangana government announced Rs 5 lakh for families of the deceased and Rs 2 lakh for each injured in the Hyderabad-Bengaluru bus fire in Kurnool district. Twenty people died, and 23 passengers survived the accident, officials said.

Hyderabad: The State government has announced an exgratia of Rs.5 lakh for each of the family of the deceased and Rs.2 lakh each for the injured in the Hyderabad-Bengaluru private bus fire mishap, which occurred in Kurnool district.
The exgratia is offered to the Telangana natives, who lost their lives or suffered injuries in the mishap on Friday morning, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said in a statement.
The decision was taken following the instructions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. All measures were being taken to provide quality treatment to the injured, he said.
Nearly 20 people have lost their lives in the Vemuri Kaveri Travels private bus mishap. In all, 43 passengers were travelling in the bus, which was heading to Bengaluru from Hyderabad. While, 23 passengers managed to escape, 20 are believed to be dead. Officials have identified the bodies of 11 passengers, reports said.
