HYDERABAD: The State Government has set up a helpline for providing assistance to the family members of Hyderabad-Bengaluru bus fire mishap at Kurnool district on Friday early morning in which atleast 12 passengers are dead as per the latest reports.
The family members of the passengers can contact Assistant Secretary M Ramachandra over phone number 99129-19545 and Section Officer E Chitti Babu over 94408-54433. The Director, Protocol Department has been entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring the helpline.

Meanwhile, BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed deep shock and grief over the horrific bus accident in Kurnool district that claimed 20 lives. The private travel bus, en route from Hyderabad to Bengaluru, caught fire after a collision, leaving passengers trapped inside.
In a statement, Chandrashekhar Rao Rao conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and urged the government to extend immediate financial assistance to the victims’ kin. He also asked the government to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured and prayed for their speedy recovery.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao also expressed anguish, calling the incident deeply shocking and unfortunate. He appealed to the State government to take swift relief measures, in coordination with Andhra Pradesh government, and provide immediate medical aid to those injured. He extended condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls.
Former Minister and MLA T Harish Rao too condoled the deaths of passengers in the tragedy near Chinna Tekur village in Kurnool. He extended condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
