Kamareddy: A migrant labourer belonging to Chhattisgarh died and nine others sustained injuries when a newly constructed godown wall caved in due to heavy wind and rain at Adloor Yellareddy village of Kamareddy mandal on Sunday night.
Former MLC Arikela Narsareddy was getting the godowns constructed at Adloor Yellareddy village. Workers from Chhattisgarh were roped in for the construction works. On Sunday, the wall collapsed on the workers during construction work.
The labourer Indra Kumar (48) died on the spot, while nine others sustained injuries. Five labourers suffered serious injuries and have been shifted to Hyderabad for better treatment.
Among the remaining injured persons, one was shifted to Kamareddy hospital and other three women sustained minor injuries and were sent home after providing treatment on the spot.
