Labuschagne sets sights on IPL entry
I have been interested in the IPL for a long time, and how the teams are going. I really want to be involved in the IPL at some stage but I think the time will come when I’m ready for that opportunity.

Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne made a name for himself in the Test arena with impressive performances. Coming in as a concussion substitute for his idol Steve Smith, the talented youngster turned into the batting mainstay of Australia now.
“I have been interested in the IPL for a long time, and how the teams are going. I really want to be involved in the IPL at some stage but I think the time will come when I’m ready for that opportunity. And I think you don’t need to always rush these things,” Labuschagne said during a chat show with Cricbuzz. “You know the way my career has developed in the last year has been quite substantial. It’s gone really quick. Probably a year-and-a-half ago, I wouldn’t even be in contention for the IPL but now I would love to be over there,” he added. He played only 10 matches so far after making his debut in the 2016-17 edition of the Big Bash League.
