Hyderabad: The Lake Police at Hussainsagar saved five persons who had come to the lake to end their lives due to various reasons since Saturday.
A couple which had married without the consent of the elders of their families came to the lake to end their lives when their parents asked to search for some alternative accommodation and stay away. The couple arrived on a bike and were found sitting near the lake when the lake police personnel who were patrolling the stretch noticed them and questioned their presence. Later, they were taken to the lake police station and counselled before handing them back to their families.
Another woman, who slipped into depression over ill-health of her husband, intended to end her life was also saved by the lake police. Two more youngsters who came to the lake to end their lives due to various reasons were also counselled and sent away.
