Peddapalli: A land dispute claimed the life of a farmer in Kanagarthi village of Odela mandal on Monday.
According to police, two farmers, Aadi Rajaiah, son of Mallaiah, and Aadi Rajaiah, son of Ilaiah, had been at loggerheads for a long time over the boundary of their agricultural lands.
On Monday, the dispute flared up again, leading to a heated argument during which both allegedly attacked each other. In the ensuing jostle, Rajaiah, son of Mallaiah, fell to the ground and died on the spot.
On receiving information, Potkapalli Sub Inspector Dikonda Ramesh visited the spot and enquired into the incident with local residents.
Police registered a case and took up investigation. The body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem examination.
