Last date to apply for Agniveer registrations ends on April 10

The type of entry will be for five positions including General Duty, Technical, Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, Tradesman (Class 10 and Class 8 pass) and Women General Duty in Corps of Military Police

Hyderabad: The Director General of Recruitment for the Indian Army, which is conducting Agniveer recruitments under Agnipath scheme, has said that registrations for the recruitment year 2025-26, which started on March 12, 2025, will continue till April 10, 2025.

The type of entry will be for five positions including General Duty, Technical, Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, Tradesman (Class 10 and Class 8 pass) and Women General Duty in Corps of Military Police. Based on their eligibility, Agniveer candidates can apply for any two of the above categories.


The recruitment process involves online registration, online common entrance examination, local recruitment rally, medical and documentation. The date of online examination is tentatively scheduled in June, 2025 and final date will be intimated separately.

The online common entrance exam will be conducted in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Odiya, Bengali, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi and Assamese. The training duration of the Agniveer will be for 31 weeks.

According to the notification, on completion of four years of service, based on organisation’s requirements and policies promulgated, up to 25 per cent of each specific batch of Agniveers will be enrolled in the Indian Army as regular cadre.
