Nalgonda: The annual three-day Urs festival at Hazrath Syed Shah Latheefullah Quadri Dargah in Nalgonda town commenced on Thursday evening on a colourful note with the arrival of the auspicious sandal to dargah on Latheef Saheb hillock from Madina Masjid in a procession
As per the tradition, the Urs-e-Sharif sandal was handed over by the Imam to Nalgonda MLA Kancherla Bhupal Reddy and Superintendent of Police A V Ranganath, who marked the start of the procession.
The sandal sharif procession reached the Dargah after passing through various thoroughfares of the town. The dargah was decked up with colourful lights and flowers for the annual festival.
