Hyderabad: The Saroornagar police have booked a case against a lawyer on charges of beating his children.

The lawyer, Santhosh Kumar and his wife Uma from Doctors Colony in Saroornagar, have two sons. According to the police, the couple were living separately for the last three years, with Uma being with her parents at Dilsukhnagar.

The couple had filed the petition seeking the custody of their children and the court recently pronounced the verdict, following which Santhosh Kumar took them home. According to Uma, since then, Santhosh, who allegedly was having an extramarital affair, was beating their children.

Santhosh Kumar too has lodged a complaint against Uma. The Saroornagar police booked two separate cases and are investigating.
