Peddapalli: Jayashankar-Bhupalpally Zilla Parishad chairperson Jakku Sri Harshini made it clear that the TRS is in no way connected to the murder of advocate couple.

Speaking to reporters in Manthani on Thursday, she said though Kunta Srinivas was presently in the TRS, he was elected MPTC on a Congress ticket. He used to maintain close relations with Manthani MLA D Sridhar Babu, she said.

“How could Sridhar Babu link the murders to Peddapalli ZP Chairman Putta Madhukar when the murder was committed over personal grudge?” she asked, adding that Sridhar Babu was trying to give political colour to all murders taking place in Manthani and utilising them for his political gains.

If the MLA links the advocate murders to Madhukar, then there is every reason to suspect the role of Sridhar Babu in the five murders that took place in his native Dhanwada when he was a Minister, she said, adding that the TRS had never encouraged murder politics. “The MLA is making false allegations against the State government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for publicity,” she said, adding that the Chief Minister would not have constructed the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme or taken up projects like Mission Bhagiratha if he had encouraged murder politics.
