Leaders from BJP, Congress join BRS in Siddipet

Several BJP and Congress leaders, including Donthula Suresh and Pasha, joined the BRS in Siddipet in the presence of former minister T Harish Rao. With municipal elections approaching, the move is expected to strengthen BRS’s position.

Siddipet: Several BJP and Congress leaders joined BRS in the presence of former Minister T Harish Rao in Siddipet on Sunday. BJP district secretary Donthula Suresh and Congress minority cell leader Pasha, along with their respective followers, joined BRS.

Since the municipal elections are approaching in Siddipet municipality, the induction of will boost the confidence of BRS ahead of the elections.


Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of lying about the six guarantees during the Kerala election campaign.

Rao said that Revanth even feared conducting gram sabhas, fearing the opposition from people over the Congress’s failure to implement six guarantees. The former minister suggested that voters stay aware of the lies of Congress and the BJP since they may come up with false promises during campaigning.

He further called upon them not to fall prey to such tactics. Rao accused Revanth of taking several projects from Siddipet to Kodangal constituency, besides stopping already grounded projects.
