Hyderabad: Left parties staged a protest in the city on Friday alleging that fake encounters were being carried out under ‘Operation Kagaar’.

Several leaders held a demonstration with placards at the Dr BR Ambedkar statue on Lower Tank Bund. CPI State Secretary and MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao, along with leaders of various Left organisations, participated in the protest.

Speaking at the protest, they demanded that the government immediately stop fake encounters and ensure accountability in police operations.

The protestors alleged that encounter killings were being misused in the name of anti-crime operations and called for transparent investigations into all recent incidents. They also stated that democratic rights and due procedures must be upheld in all law enforcement actions.
