Leopard movement sparks panic in Nirmal village
Panic spread in Kolur village, Bhainsa mandal, after farmers spotted leopard pugmarks and recent sightings. Forest officials confirmed its presence and are taking steps to track and drive it back safely.

Nirmal: The movement of a leopard triggered panic among residents of Kolur village in Bhainsa mandal on Sunday.
Local farmers said they spotted pugmarks of the animal along a road leading to their fields and claimed that the leopard had been sighted on the village outskirts over the past few days. Fearful of a possible attack, they urged Forest officials to drive the animal back into dense forest areas to prevent any human loss.
Forest department officials confirmed the leopard’s presence on the village periphery and assured that measures were being taken to monitor its movement and ensure public safety. They said efforts were underway to drive the animal back into its natural habitat.
The officials also advised farmers to move in groups while working in the fields and to avoid sudden confrontations with the wild animal.
