Locals claimed that the leopard killed a calf after it entered the forests for grazing. They regretted that they were living in the grip of fear following the movement of the leopard. They urged the officials to take steps to divert the animal and to prevent further cattle casualties.
Forest officials confirmed that leopards were found in the forests near the village. They advised shepherds to be cautious of the wild animal while grazing cattle in the forests. They requested farmers to move in groups and to make noise when they were taking up farm activities. They said that steps were being taken to track the movement of leopards and to avoid human loss.
