Leopard roaming in Telangana’s Ananthagiri forest, residents of nearby villages cautioned

Officials have put up banners on the road leading to Ananthagiri

Hyderabad: Vikarabad District Forest Officer (DFO) Gyaneshwar on Wednesday advised the people of the villages surrounding Ananthagiri to be careful and not go into the forest under any circumstances as a leopard was roaming in the forests of Ananthagiri.

The officials have put up banners on the road leading to Ananthagiri. The leopard does not stay in one place and it roams around, Gyaneshwar said, adding that if anyone sees it, they should inform the forest officials.

In the past, leopards have also roamed in the Ananthagiri and Parigi, Kulakcharla, Yalal mandals of Vikarabad.
