Watch: Villagers panic as leopard spotted on a tree in Asifabad

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: The sighting of a leopard in a forest near Chintapalli in Tiryani mandal triggered panic among locals on Sunday.
Some residents of the village said they spotted a leopard on a tree when they were crossing the forests. Upon receiving information, forest officials visited the spot but did not find the leopard.
However, the officials told the villagers to avoid sudden confrontation with the leopard. They said villagers were not coming forward to share information about the leopard and that they could not confirm whether the animal was moving in the forests.
Meanwhile, a video clip of the leopard went viral on social media platforms. Users of WhatsApp widely shared the clip, in which the leopard is seen perched high on a tree while a dog barks at it, in different groups on Sunday.
