Hyderabad: The untimely November rains in the city, which saw intermittent drizzles right from morning on Sunday, are likely to continue for a few more days.
While the India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad’s seven-day forecast has cloudy skies, light rain or drizzles marked till November 27, the Telangana State Development Planning Society forecast says light rain or thundershowers were expected across the State till Monday, after which light rain or thundershowers could be expected only at a few places for two days after that.
Across the State, during the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 42 mm was recorded at Pedda Adiserlapalle (Nalgonda), while in the GHMC area, the 24 hour-highest rainfall was the 10.4 mm recorded at Bandlaguda. On Sunday, till 6 pm, Kukatpally recorded 9.5 mm, while Khairatabad registered a rainfall of 8 mm.
The temperatures, meanwhile, saw a dip with maximum temperature in Hyderabad falling from normal by 2.5 degree Celsius to be pegged at 27 degree Celsius on Sunday. The night temperature, however, saw a rise from normal by 4.8 degrees, to be recorded at 21.9 degree Celsius.
The night temperatures are expected to be in the range of 20 degree Celsius to 23 degree Celsius over the next couple of days, while the maximum temperatures could be in the range of 29 degree Celsius to 32 degree Celsius.
