Hyderabad: The city woke up to a bright and sunny Sunday. While there were very light showers at a few places, most of the city remained dry.
The maximum temperature in the city remained 32.2 degree Celsius, whereas the lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 22.8 degree Celsius.
The area around Kandikal Gate in the city recorded a rainfall of 7.5 mm while the neighbourhoods in Marredpally also witnessed little drizzles. Since the start of this monsoon season from June 1, the area under GHMC limits has received 408.1 mm rain, against the normal 326.4 mm, which is 33 per cent in excess. As per India Meteorological Department, the city will witness more rainfall from the second week of August.
The Telangana State Development Planning Society predicts dry weather in Hyderabad for the coming three days. The maximum temperature in the city during the period is expected to be between 31 degree Celsius and 33 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature will be in the range 21 degree Celsius to 23 degree Celsius.
A few districts of Telangana also recorded light to moderate rains on Sunday. Rajanna Sircilla, Nirmal, Kamareddy, Mulugu and Jangaon witnessed up to 30 mm rainfall. Rebarthi in Siddipet recorded the highest rainfall in the city of 34.8 mm.
