Light to moderate rain, thundershowers likely in Hyderabad on Saturday; IMD issues gusty wind alert
The IMD-Hyderabad has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers with 30–40 kmph gusty winds across all six city zones on Saturday. Authorities warned of waterlogging, traffic congestion, and drainage blockages, advising residents to limit outdoor movement.
Hyderabad: The city is likely to experience light to moderate rains or thunder showers on Saturday, according to the IMD-Hyderabad’s forecast report.
IMD report stated that all six zones, including Charminar, Khairatabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad, and Serilingampally, saw a generally cloudy sky, and light to moderate rains or thunder showers accompanied by 30 to 40 KMP gusty winds are very likely to occur.
As a result, water is pooling on roads and low-lying areas in many locations, causing traffic congestion and drainage blockages. Keeping in view the forecast, the IMD advised civilians to restrict movement.
