Hyderabad: The Lila Poonawalla Foundation (LPF), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls through education, held its Hyderabad Scholarship Award Function 2025 at the G Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science, Hyderabad.
Recently, the Foundation also celebrated its 30th Postgraduate Scholarship Award Function in Pune, with Dr Kiran Bedi, the first woman IPS officer of India and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, as the chief guest.
The Hyderabad event marked another important milestone in LPF’s ongoing mission to empower deserving girls from financially challenged backgrounds to pursue higher education. During the function, new scholarships were awarded to meritorious girl students pursuing undergraduate courses, Bachelor of Engineering, and Engineering After Diploma from various colleges across the Hyderabad region.
Speaking at the event, LPF’s Chairperson Lila Poonawalla emphasized that the Foundation’s vision extends beyond merely providing scholarships. It also focuses on mentorship, personal growth, and leadership development, aiming to create confident and capable women changemakers.
