Hyderabad: Lijomol Josetouched the hearts of everyone who watched ‘Jai Bhim’.
Her soul-stirring performance as Senggeni, one of the key characters in the Amazon Prime Video film, made her an overnight star. Playing the role of an oppressed tribal who seeks justice for her husband’s death in the hands of the police, Senggeni was quite literally the heart and soul of the movie.
And no one could have carried the role better than Lijomol. From her cries of help and expressing volatile emotions to dialogue delivery, everything was more than impressive.
The actor, who primarily appears in Malayalam and Tamil films, had made her acting debut in the highly acclaimed Malayalam film ‘Maheshinte Prathikaaram in 2016.
Following this, she acted in movies like ‘Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan’ and ‘Honey Bee 2.5’. She made her Tamil debut with ‘Sivappu Manjal Pachai’ opposite Siddharth.
After her performance in ‘Jai Bhim’, her Instagram following took an upward curve to 106k followers. Several fans felt that Lijomol deserves an award for the performance. “National award for you next year,” commented an Instagram user on her latest post. “Extraordinary acting,” added another.
