Lions Club honours Telangana Padma awardees 2026 at annual function

Hyderabad: Lions Club International-District 320 A honoured Padma awardees 2026 from Telangana at the annual installation function held in the twin cities recently. The event celebrated the significant contributions made by the Padma awardees in their respective fields and honoured them for their achievements.
The five Padma awardees who were felicitated include Dr. Palkonda Vijay Anand Reddy for his contributions in Medicine (Oncology and Cancer Care), Dr. Guduru Venkat Rao (Gastroenterology), Dr. Kumaraswamy Thangaraj for excellence in Science and Engineering, Dr. Deepika Reddy for Arts and Culture and Dr. Krishnaswamy Balasubramanian for his contributions in Science and Engineering.
On the occasion, LIFE Trophies (Lions International Fellow of Excellence), along with citations, were presented to the Padma awardees.
Later, Past International Director Sunil Kumar R, Chairman of LIFE Awards 2026, made a presentation on each of the awardees and their accomplishments. Past International Directors of Lions Clubs, including Premchand Bafana (Pune), Sunil Kumar and Dr. G. Babu, District Governor Suresh Jagnani and other prominent leaders of the Association were present.
