Liquor outlets to be closed on polling, counting days: Cyberabad police

Liquor sale will be prohibited from 4 pm on March 12 to 4 pm on March 14 and on March 17, which is the counting day

Hyderabad: In view of the MLC Graduate elections to be held on March 14, liquor sale at wine shops, toddy compounds, bars, restaurants, star hotels and registered clubs in the city will be prohibited from 4 pm on March 12 to 4 pm on March 14.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar issued an order to this effect here on Wednesday and said the liquor sale will also be prohibited on March 17, the day of counting, and also the date of re-poll, if any. He instructed the police officers at the border areas to keep a strict vigil on the flow of liquor.
