Liquor outlets to remain closed in the view of Holi festival on March 14 in Hyderabad

The order will be in effect from 6 am to 6 pm

Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu on Wednesday has issued an order on the closure of liquor outlets for the Holi festival from 6am to 6pm on March 14.

The Commissioner said wine shops, toddy shops and bars attached to restaurants, excluding those attached to star hotels and clubs (excluding bars in star hotels and registered clubs) in the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, would be closed on the day of the festival.

Cops warn against causing annoyance

In view of Holi festival, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty on Wednesday had issued an order warning citizens against throwing colour or water on unknown persons, places, vehicles or smearing people with colours on roads, causing annoyance.

The order also prohibits groups from moving aimlessly on their vehicles on roads, causing inconvenience to others.

The order will be in effect from 6am on March 14 to 6am on March 15.
