Liquor to cost more in Andhra, prices hiked by 15 %

AP Excise Department issues orders increasing prices on Indian and foreign liquor being sold in the State

Hyderabad: Liquor prices in Andhra Pradesh have been hiked by 15%. Orders to this effect were issued by the Andhra Pradesh Excise Department on Monday. Except for beer brands priced at Rs 99. It was decided to extend the hike to all categories. Accordingly Additional Retail Excise Tax (AERT) will be levied on Indian as well as foreign-made liquor.

It may be mentioned here that the Telugu Desam Party, before the elections, had promised to slash liquor prices imposed by the then ruling YSRC government.
