Little Flower edges past Secunderabad Club in GM Sampath Kumar Trophy
Beats Secunderabad Club 44 - 41 after leading 29 - 18 at half time to take a step closer to qualifying from Level-III to Level-II

Hyderabad: Little Flower Old Boys edged past Secunderabad Club 44 – 41 after leading 29 – 18 at half time to take a step closer to qualifying from Level-III to Level-II in the Annual League basketball championship for GM Sampath Kumar Trophy at YMCA Secunderabad.
The first quarter was evenly contested as Little Flower scored 14 points through Yeshwanth and Hari combining well, whereas Secunderabad Club was not far behind with Vishal using his height to good effect to score from the paint as Little Flower led 14 – 11 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Little Flower tightened its defence to restrict Secunderabad Club to just seven points and, in turn, scored 15 points through Hari, Samridh and Yeshwanth to take a decisive 29 – 18 lead at halftime.
After the change of ends, both teams scored 5 points apiece.
In the last quarter, Secunderabad Club scored briskly through Brejeet and Daman to score 18 points; however, the lead was too much to recover as Little Flower finally won the match 44 – 41.
In another match, KPHB defeated Mamata Medical College 69 – 52 after leading 31 – 28 at halftime to advance in the qualifying knockout phase from Level-III to Level-II.

KPHB 69 (Sai – 18; Bharath – 15; Srikanth – 13) beat Mamata Medical College 69 (Alex – 15; Dheeraj – 14; Akhil – 11).
