Hyderabad: Livspace, an omni-channel home interiors and renovation platform, which has two design experience centres in Hyderabad at present, is planning to set up 10 new centres in the city, as part of its nation-wide expansion.
Livspace forayed into Telangana in 2018 by launching its first design experience centre in HITEC City spread across 2,700 sq ft, followed by 2,200 sq ft experience centre in Banjara Hills. These experience centres feature home-in-store experience including assorted designs for all rooms in a home, a dedicated virtual reality zone, over 50,000 materials to choose from and an office space for design-partners.
Ramakant Sharma, founder & COO, Livspace, told Telangana Today, “Telangana is one of the priority markets for Livspace. We will be setting up 10 experience centres in Hyderabad. The locations would be Kukatpally, Manikonda, Gachibowli, Shamshabad and multiple areas across Secunderabad.”
He further added, “We plan to move closer to our prospective customers with smaller experience centres spread across 1,500 sq ft. In the past, our sales conversion at our centres is approximately 50 per cent of the total footfalls.”
In Telangana, Livspace is focusing on customer acquisition and infrastructure. A portion of the future investment is also dedicated to small-format design centres, which will focus on the company’s modular offering.
Furthermore, a network of experience apartments across Hyderabad will allow customers to view fully designed Livspace homes. The company also aims to appoint 150 partners within the next six months and reach 5,000 homeowners in the city.
Livspace plans to set up 150 design experience centres across 80 markets over the next 18 months, with an investment of $50 million (over Rs 370 crore). This will include 60 markets pan-India and 20 markets across Asia Pacific. The new centres will supplement an existing network of over 25 stores in both metros and non-metros that include Hyderabad, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Kochi.
To enable the expansion, Livspace aims to onboard over 1,000 new design entrepreneurs across the country. The move will help build a community of design studio owners further empowered by Livspace through access to its technology platform and digital supply chain to help grow their business.
