Sangareddy: A dispute over the repayment of a loan led to a clash between the loanee and the lender in Kalivemula village on Monday. Reports said Mundela Anil (35) had borrowed Rs one lakh from Talari Pandu a few months ago. Pandu is said to have met Anil at a toddy compound on Monday morning and demanded repayment of the loan. Anil agreed to pay Rs 50,000 immediately, seeking some time for the remaining amount. However, an argument ensued and Pandu allegedly attacked Anil with a toddy bottle. Later, Pandu’s wife Sunitha and other family members attacked Anil. The victim, who sustained a serious bleeding injury on his head, fell unconscious. He was rushed to the government hospital in Sangareddy for treatment. The Indrakaran police registered a case and the probe is on.
