Hyderabad: A man was brutally attacked with blunt weapons at Kachavani Singaram in Medipally on Tuesday.

As per available information, Kinnera Lakshmi Jangaiah, a local BRS leader, was brutally attacked, allegedly by Srinivas, a resident of Edulabad. Preliminary investigations suggested the motive behind the attack could be linked to a suspected illicit relationship, though police have yet to confirm the exact cause.

Following the incident, Srinivas reportedly surrendered at the Ghatkesar police station, where officials are recording his statement. The police have initiated a probe and are examining all angles, including personal disputes.

Meanwhile, Jangaiah was rushed to a nearby private hospital in Medipally, where he is currently undergoing treatment. His condition is said to be stable. The case has triggered tension in the area, with police deploying additional personnel to maintain peace and prevent untoward incidents.
