Local municipal councillor’s residence burgled in Shankerpally
Unidentified persons broke into the house of local municipal councillor, P Balakrishna at Shankerpally in suburbs of the city and made away with huge quantity of gold and silver ornaments.
Hyderabad: Unidentified persons broke into a house at Shankerpally in suburbs of the city and made away with huge quantity of gold and silver ornaments.
According to the police, the theft took place at the house of local municipal councillor, P Balakrishna. The marriage of the daughter of the councillor was scheduled for Wednesday and the family had kept the gold and silver ornaments in the house.
On Sunday, there was a marriage related event in the house and the family members kept the gold ornaments and gold in the cupboard. “In the late evening, the family members noticed the gold ornaments weighing around 133 tolas and silver articles weighing about 80 tolas were allegedly stolen from the cupboard,” said Shankerpally Inspector, K Srinivas Goud.
On a complaint, the police registered a case and started investigation. The clues teams and finger prints experts visited the spot and are assisting the investigators.
