Hyderabad: The TRS along with other Opposition parties staged a walkout from the Lok Sabha on Tuesday in protest against the recent hike in fuel and cooking gas prices. They rushed into the Well of the House and demanded rollback of the hiked prices.
As soon as the Lok Sabha met for Question Hour, the Opposition parties including TRS raised the issue and sought a discussion in this regard. However, Speaker Om Birla disallowed the same and asked the Opposition parties to raise the issue after Question Hour.
MPs from Congress, Trinamool Congress, Nationalist Congress Party, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Left parties raised slogans from their seats. The TRS MPs led by Nama Nageshwara Rao rushed into the Well of the House and demanded a rollback.
With the Speaker refusing to budge despite repeated requests, all the Opposition parties staged a walkout.
