Vijayawada: Telugu Desam Party national general secretary Nara Lokesh was detained by the police at Gannavaram airport on Thursday.

Lokesh arrived from Hyderabad by flight to call on the family of Anusha who was murdered by a youth for spurning love, in Gollapadu of Guntur district recently.

Police cited COVID for refusing permission to the TDP leader and whisked him away to some unknown destination although Lokesh explained to them that he was not going there to stage dharnas and agitations but only to meet Anusha’s family and address the media.
