Loneliness drives octogenarian to suicide in Telangana’s Sircilla
An 80-year-old man, Palla Lasmaiah, died by suicide at Chandurthy mandal in Rajanna-Sircilla district on Tuesday. Villagers said he lived alone after his wife’s death and suffered health issues. Police registered a case based on his son’s complaint

Rajanna-Sircilla: An 80-year-old man, identified as Palla Lasmaiah, died by suicide at Chandurthy mandal headquarters on Tuesday, reportedly due to loneliness and health complications.
Villagers said Lasmaiah had been living alone since the death of his wife a few years ago and was suffering from prolonged health issues. Unable to cope, he allegedly hanged himself in a hut located on agricultural fields owned by another person.
Based on a complaint lodged by his son, Shankar, police registered a case and launched an investigation.
