Medak: In a shocking incident, a lorry driver allegedly ran over a car driver on NH-44 at Valluru in Narsingi mandal on Wednesday, killing him on the spot.

The victim, Sathi Reddy (50), a resident of Raipole in Siddipet district, was travelling towards Hyderabad with two of his family members when a lorry collided with their car. When the lorry driver tried to flee, Reddy overtook the lorry and attempted to stop it. In response, the lorry rammed the car again and made another attempt to escape.

Reddy got down from his vehicle and tried to intercept the lorry, but the driver ran him over and sped away before locals could respond. The impact crushed Reddy’s head under the wheels, killing him instantly.

Narsingi police have registered a case and launched a search to trace the lorry and its driver.
