Lorry driver sentenced to 75 days for killing goats in Mancherial
A man was sentenced to 75 days imprisonment by a Bellampalli court for killing nine goats and injuring eleven by rash and negligent truck driving four years ago. The incident occurred near Devapur village when the animals were crossing the road.

Mancherial: A Bellampalli court on Tuesday sentenced a man to 75 days of imprisonment for killing 9 goats and injuring 11 goats by way of rash and negligent driving a truck four years back.
Junior first class magistrate Mukesh pronounced the verdict awarding the term against Allanki Venkatesham from Peddakaluvala village in Peddapalli mandal by finding him guilty for crushing the animals to death and wounding them while they were crossing a road near Devapur village in Kasipet mandal on April 18 night in 2021. The lorry was proceeding to Devapur at the time of the mishap.
Based on a complaint received from Aggi Nadipi Beeraiah, owner of the goat from Rechini in Thandur mandal. The then Devapur SI A Vijayender registered a case against Venkatesham.
