Lovers attempt suicide in Rajanna Sircilla

According to police, Raju (20) was in love with his relative Nichitha (16) for sometime. Family members refused to perform their marriage as she had two elder sisters.

Rajanna Sircilla: Upset over family members’ denial of permission for their marriage, a man and a woman attempted to end their lives in Thangallapalli mandal headquarters late on Sunday night.

According to police, Raju (20) was in love with his relative Nichitha (16) for sometime. Family members refused to perform their marriage as she had two elder sisters. Disappointed over parents’ decision, duo decided to end their life.

After midnight on Sunday, they went to nearby Maneruvagu and consumed pesticide. A police patrol team found and shifted them to Sircilla government hospital.

As the condition of Nichitha was serious, family members shifted her to a private hospital in Yellareddypet, where she is undergoing treatment.

A native of Obulapur, Raju was staying at his grandmother’s home in Thangallapalli mandal. Nichitha recently completed her Class X. Police registered the case and investigating into the matter.
