Lovers’ suicide pact: Woman dies, man critical in Nizamabad
The victims were identified as Nerella Chandana (20) of Pandi Madugu village and Subhash (22) of Ravula village
Nizamabad: Upset after their parents refused their marriage proposal, lovers attempted suicide by consuming pesticides at Sirikonda mandal of Nizamabad district.
According to police, Nerella Chandana (20) of Pandi Madugu village and Subhash (22) of Ravula village were in love for months. But parents of both the girl and the boy have opposed their marriage proposal. Unable to bear the separation, the duo attempted suicide by consuming poison. The duo was rushed to the hospital after found to be in serious condition.
The girl died while undergoing treatment and the boy’s condition is critical, police said.
Sirikonda police registered a case and the investigation is on.
