Sangareddy: As the Covid-19 cases were on the rise across Telangana, the Republic Day celebrations across erstwhile Medak district in a low-key affair on Wednesday.
Sangareddy Collector M Hanumantha Rao has hoisted the national flag on the eve of 73rd Republic Day at Collectorate Complex in Sangareddy on Wednesday. In wake of the Covid-19 cases spread, the Republic Day celebrations were organized as low-key affairs.
Superintendent of Police M Ramana Kumar, Additional Collector Veera Reddy, District Revenue Officer Radhika Ramani and others were present.
In Medak district, Collector S Harish has unfurled the national flag on the premises of the Collectorate to mark Republic Day. Meanwhile, SP Rohini Priyadarshini has hoisted the national flag at Police headquarters.
Additional Collector Muzammil Khan has unfurled the national flag in Siddipet Collectorate in the presence of Commissioner of Police N Swetha, Zilla Parishad Chairperson V Roja Sharma and others. Similarly, the celebrations were organised across the district in government offices and private institutes.
