Hyderabad: Panic prevailed for a while at Kachiguda in the city following a cylinder explosion on Sunday evening. No casualties were reported in the incident.
According to the police, the incident happened at a house in Krishnanagar in Kachiguda. Fortunately, the house occupants were away at the time of the incident and only some property was damaged due to the fire.
Residents who heard the loud noise rushed out in panic and alerted the police and fire department. A fire tender from the nearby fire station reached the house and doused the fire.
Fire officials suspect that articles in the house caught fire, leading to the explosion of the LPG cylinder. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
