Hyderabad: Lieutenant General A Arun, General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Bharat Area visited Secunderabad and Hyderabad Military Stations.
During the visit, the General Officer flagged off the Army Ordnance Corps Centre cycling expedition commemorating the “Swarnim Vijay Varsh” of 1971 war. The cycling expedition of 1,300 kms over 10 days will cover nine historical forts in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh by a team of 12 cyclists. The historical forts of Golconda, Ghanpur, Gadwal, Adoni, Konda Reddy, Kondaveedu, Kondapalli, Khammam and Bhongir will be visited and the team will reach back Secunderabad on September 30.
Lieutenant General A Arun visited AOC centre, 1 EME Centre and Artillery Centre, Hyderabad and inspected the training, operational readiness and administration of the centres and complimented them on their high standards. The General Officer interacted with the Veterans and Veer Naris of the station and also visited Military Hospital in Secunderabad and Golconda and inspected the facilities for Covid treatment.
