Lucky Restaurant owner, others booked in counter-cases over Madhapur incident
Madhapur police have registered separate cases following an incident near Pillar No. 1723 involving alleged property damage and a subsequent protest by the family running a restaurant.

Hyderabad: The Madhapur police registered a case against a few individuals for allegedly damaging property, abusing and threatening the family running a restaurant near Pillar No. 1723 in Madhapur.
According to the police, Mohammed Mansoor Ali has been running Lucky Restaurant at the location for the past six years. On Saturday night his worker Ali informed him that some people were damaging the restaurant premises.
Mansoor Ali, along with his wife Rehana Begum, immediately reached the spot and allegedly found Hari, Ravi and others, including some women, damaging the premises using a JCB. The suspects allegedly damaged a pan shop, tea point and bakery.
When the couple tried to stop them, some women allegedly assaulted Rehana Begum, while the suspects attempted to snatch Mansoor’s mobile phone. The couple were also allegedly abused and threatened. Based on a complaint, the police registered a case.
Meanwhile, the Madhapur police registered a case against Mansoor Ali and others for allegedly obstructing a police patrol vehicle and disrupting traffic.
According to the police, Mansoor Ali, along with his wife and some others, allegedly came onto the road and obstructed the police vehicle when the police reached the spot to conduct an inquiry. They reportedly sat on the road, causing inconvenience to motorists and the public.
However, it is learnt that the family members protested when the police tried to take one of their relatives to the police station in their vehicle.
The group also allegedly obstructed police personnel while they were discharging their official duties. A case has been registered at the Madhapur police station and the matter is under investigation.
