Hyderabad: A Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Hyderabad has turned back to its origin midway, obviously due to threats of outbreak of hostilities between Iran and Israel escalating on Tuesday. Another Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Mumbai has also been diverted midway.
Flightradar, which monitors aircraft movement worldwide, reported that the the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (DLH752) on its way to Hyderabad from Frankfurt, has turned back and is now returning to Frankfurt. The Boing 787-9 Dreamliner had almost reached Iranian airspace after crossing Aremnia before turning back.
Another Lufthansa flight to Bombay from Frankfurt (DLH756), An Airbus A 340-313 has also returned to its origin after flying over the Black Sea off Turkiye. Two other flights on the same route from Frankfurt to Dubai (DLH630) and Zurich to Dubai (SWR242) are also returing to their originating station.
Meanwhile, Iraq has closed its airspace leading to a massive disruption of air services in the region, while flights goving over western Iran were tacking East now away from the established airways toward the just established temporary airways, flightradar reported.
