Hyderabad: The Raghu Dixit Project, one of the most sought-after bands in India, is all geared up to perform in Hyderabad on Friday. Raghupathy aka Raghu Dixit, the international star, will belt out his popular numbers for the city audience.
The Bengaluru-based folk rockstar who performed in front of Queen Elizabeth II of England at Royal Albert Hall is known for his folksy tunes Jag Changa and Gudugudiya amongst others. He also composed the Jaago track in Srimanthudu and Train Song in Gully Boy. The latest number he composed was Jaane Re Maan from the recently released web series The Great Indian Murder.
From their colourful lungis, a take on their cultural heritage, to their rooted and earthy sound, the band has become a stellar example of modern India. Over the last few years, the band has been a regular feature at venues around the world, most notably their last International tour that spanned 6 countries and over 30 venues of the likes of the Sydney Opera House.
After a gap of almost three years due to the pandemic, The Raghu Dixit Project is now performing in the city. The event will take place at Grease Monkey Jubilee Hills. The ticket costs Rs 699.
