Hyderabad: A moving Mercedes-Benz car caught fire near Gachibowli on Saturday night, causing panic among motorists in the area.

According to police, the luxury car was travelling from Banjara Hills towards Vasella Meadows when smoke was noticed near SLNT in Kothaguda.

Alerted by the smoke, the driver immediately stopped the vehicle and got out safely moments before flames engulfed the car.

On receiving information, the fire department personnel and local police rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.

No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. However, the vehicle was completely gutted.
