Warangal Urban: Lyricist, poet and singer Dr Pasula Yellaiah, popularly known as Srinath, was conferred with a national level award by ‘Ammavodi Foundation’ and ‘Swaeros’ for his service in the field of literature and arts.
He received the award from Dr RS Praveen Kumar, Additional DGP and secretary, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society on the occasion of Prathigna Diwas programme organised at Parigi town of Vikarabad district on Monday night.
Yellaiah has penned and sung several numbers on corona warriors like doctors, journalists and officials.
In a press note here on Tuesday, Yellaiah said his songs had received tremendous response on social media platforms, mainly on YouTube. Yellaiah, who is a faculty member of Vaagdevi Educational Institutions, was congratulated by his colleagues, non-teaching staff and others on receiving the award.
