Lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja plants sapling as part of Green India Challenge

“I am very happy to participate in the Green India challenge. The event gave me an opportunity to fulfill my environmental responsibility.”

Hyderabad: Tollywood lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja planted a sapling at Srinagar Colony in the city as part of the Green India Challenge (GIC) on Thursday.

Thanking Rajya Sabha member, J Santosh Kumar for initiating the challenge that aims at increasing the green cover and protecting the environment, he said: “I am very happy to participate in the Green India challenge. The event gave me an opportunity to fulfill my environmental responsibility.”

He further appealed that everyone should plant trees to offer oxygen to the coming generations and for making the country green and clean India.

After planting the sapling, Ashok gifted his book titled ‘Nenu Adavini Matladthunanu’ to Santosh Kumar.
